It is very helpful and has some interesting ideas that made me love the Delicious tool even more. I took a close and long look at UNDERSTANDING YOUR COLLECTION OF E-RESOURCES that describe the different functions of a Delicious collection. Thanks again for sharing
VictorVictor R. The tag feature is incredibly useful in finding not only materials but also like-minded teachers with whom you can easily connect in order to share interesting web-based content.

Advanced students will also benefit from Delcious. However, I woudn’t say that it is inappropriate for pre-intermediate students. I believe that it can be an equally valuable tool for students in general. My students, for example, spend a great deal of their free time on the Internet, as participants of social networks or as Internet surfers who search the web for different reasons. They are familiar with the bookmarking feature since all of them use it in their browsers. What’s more, English is the language they use most of the their online time. I think it is a good idea to introduce them to Delicious so that they become aware of the importance
1) of bookmarking useful content related to English language learning.
2) of connecting with their classmates online in a social network whose primary purpose is to learn and to share.

Introducing students to Delicious or other bookmarking sites for that matter is the first step towards understanding that the Internet can be a valuable learning resource. I don’t see their pre-intermediate level of English as an obstacle, quite to the contrary, browsing websites in order to find relevant material which they can share with their classmates is both stimulating and rewarding.

All the best
ArjanaArjanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12613487112189484417noreply@blogger.com
